We have officially started a tradition of going to ValleyFair on her birthday, just she and I, now that this is the third year in a row. This year she was so excited too because she is finally 48 inches tall...maybe even 49:) And that means she can go on the big rides and rollercoasters!
Our first ride, another tradition, is the Monster. It was my childhood favorite too! Shortly after, we went on the Corkscrew, this was her first upsidedown ride and guess what seat she chose. The front one! I think it may have been my first time up front too, she was fearless!
We both took a break to get henna tattoos, her's of course said "Rockstar". Mine was 3 small stars on my wrist for each of by babies. It was really fun!
After we came home from our day of fun in the sun we ordered a pizza, Paige opened her gifts and we celebrated her birthday with a Dairy Queen cake. It was just perfect!
Then next day we celebrated again with Grandma and Shyan and the kids at Como Park.
And the grand finale of what felt like Paige's birthday week was her "friend party" at our house. It was just a good old fashioned backyard party with a few games, a pinata, hot dogs, cake and lots of kids just being kids. She had a blast!
Quinn preferred to watch the backyard Twister game.
Luke even got in on the cake, not sure if he got any in his mouth though. Quinn thought his messy face was hilarious!
Stefanie stayed with her boys and helped out, she makes everthing a little more fun. It was so nice to have the extra set of hands.
I had a great time getting the play house "party ready". It wasn't nearly as much fun to take down but it was a whole lot easier.
I can't believe my ladybug is 8...in the blink of an eye it seems.
Happy Birthday baby.
