Paige Turns 10!

This year Paige wanted to have her party at Zero Gravity!  We invited the crew from her Summer Soccer team,  the girls from Meals on Wheels and of course our most special friends Dylan & Cody.
(Lauren, Talia, Francis, Naomi, Kylie)

It was really hard to collect everyone for a group picture at a trampoline park!

Of course a silly face picture.

They added a new obstacle course that was pretty fun for everyone and kind of scary!

The boys!

Awesome rock climbing wall, another new attraction!

Dodgeball!

Finally got one of the whole group!

Pizza and cake for the hungry kids.

Mommy and the birthday girl :)

Happy Birthday ladybug, we love you!  Ten years went by way too fast and like you say....double digits are here.

Class of 2028!

How in the world did he graduate from kindergarten already?  It feels like yesterday that I wrote the post about Quinn starting at St. Odilia for preschool.

Quinn was lucky enough to have the same wonderful teacher for kindergarten as Paige did, Mrs. Andrusko.  We love her!!

He even got his diploma and certificate of graduation :)

Congratulations Quinny Poo! We love you!

Kindergarten Field Trip

I try to volunteer on at least one field trip each year for the kids at their school.  This year for Quinn I made it to two, the apple orchard in the Fall and Como Zoo in the Spring.  It is always so much fun to see the kids in their element with all of their school friends.  Quinn has become friends with a really nice group of little boys and attended nearly all of their birthday parties over the past school year.

Part of the trip included a private demonstration about the rainforest, what it is like and what lives there.  The kids all seemed to enjoy is and it was perfect timing since it was pouring outside!

After the class they went into the rainforest part of the zoo.

It is hard to get all of these boys looking the same way!

Apparently making the peace or bunny ears sign in photos is the thing to do at 6 years old.

Watching the tiger!

And learning about polar bears...

Looking forward to the next field trip with Quinn and his classmates in 1st grade!

Tid Bits 11.2015

Set Up: Quinn is laying on the living room floor under the giant Horton stuffed animal watching The Voice while Paige is fluffing the pillows on the couch. And I am just trying to hear one song without interruption.

Paige: Quinn!  What are you doing? Are you eating your boogers!?!?

Quinn: No.

Paige: Yes you are!  That is disgusting! You need a tissue.

Quinn: Throw it in my hole. (meaning the opening between Horton’s feet where you can see his face)

Paige: Here.  You are going to get a hairy tongue.

Quinn: No I’m not, I always eat my boogers and my tongue’s not hairy?

Paige: It doesn’t happen until you get big, when you are a man.  Then you will have a hairy tongue and you are never going to get a wife.

Quinn: I’m never getting married.

Paige: Well you are NOT living with me.
….
….
Paige:  I’M livin’ with MOM.

I can’t stop laughing.
