Do you see this picture? This simple photos show it all, I don't think I could have done better if I tried. Take a moment and LOOK at this picture....I wish I could hear your thoughts....
So in this picture I asked the kids to smile, say "cheese!". Of course I snapped quite a few trying to get one nice one and THIS is the best I got, and for SO many reasons. You can see the water droplets frozen in mid air, truely a second later, I was wet...thankfully my camera was dry.
Paige, as usual, was cooperating, smiling for me and playing to the camera. Quinn on the other hand was yelling "NO!" and slapping his arms into the water with a snarl on his face. Hair whipping, water flying and Paige looks like she doesn't have a clue as to what is happening behind her. I love it. Well at least in the artistic sense.
Quinn turned 2 two weeks ago and ever since then, it is like a switch was flipped. Please enter the terrible two's!!! Our days are filled with shouting, spitting, hitting, hair pulling, biting and pinching. Poor Paige, much of the physical behavior is directed at her while the backtalk is saved for Jeff and I. My sweet girl looks to me for comfort, Jeff for consequenses and then returns to tell her little brother what he did wrong and how it hurt her feelings. He then hugs her and says "Saw-eee" as I smile on the inside...but then two seconds later Paige is crying again. Man is it a battle.
I tried this morning to get a little example on video...and it is a poor one,just the tip of the iceburg actually and the audio/video sync is off. But you will get the jist of it. Enjoy!
